How to Keep Your Natutopia Wood Crafts Beautiful

You love natural wood and its beauty, and that's why you chose Natutopia wood crafts. Our wood crafts are made from different kinds of wood from around the world, such as North American black walnut, Canadian maple, French beech, African ebony, and Chinese boxwood. Each wood has its own unique color, texture, and shape, and we use natural wood wax oil to bring out and preserve its beauty.

But natural wood is also delicate and needs proper care and maintenance to stay beautiful and last longer. Here are some tips on how to keep your Natutopia wood crafts beautiful.

Keep them away from sunlight

Sunlight can be harmful to natural wood, as it can make the wood fade, crack, or warp over time. It can also affect the color and gloss of the wood wax oil. So, it's best to keep your wood crafts in a cool and shady place, away from windows or other sources of sunlight. If you want to show off your wood crafts on a shelf, make sure it's not in direct sunlight.

Clean them gently with a soft cloth

To keep your wood crafts clean and shiny, use a soft, dry cloth and gently wipe the surface. Don't use abrasive or wet cloths, as they can scratch or damage the wood. If your wood crafts get stained or spilled, use a damp cloth to wipe off the stain as soon as possible, and then dry the surface with a dry cloth.

Treat them with wood wax oil regularly

Wood wax oil is a natural product that feeds and protects the wood from moisture and wear. It also gives the wood a smooth and silky finish. But wood wax oil can wear off over time, especially in areas that are frequently touched or used. So, it's good to treat your wood crafts with wood wax oil every 6 to 12 months, depending on the usage and condition of the wood. We recommend using OSMO wood wax oil, a German company that makes high-quality wood finishes with natural vegetable oils and waxes. To treat your wood crafts with wood wax oil, follow these steps:

- Clean the surface of the wood craft with a dry cloth and make sure it's free of dust and dirt.

- Shake the wood wax oil container well before use and open it carefully.
- Apply a thin and even coat of wood wax oil to the wood surface with a cloth, a brush, or a roller. Make sure to cover the whole surface and avoid overlapping or leaving gaps.

- Wait for about 8 to 10 hours for the wood wax oil to dry. You can use a fan or a heater to speed up the drying process but don't expose the wood craft to direct sunlight or heat sources.

- Apply a second coat of wood wax oil in the same way as the first coat and wait for another 8 to 10 hours for it to dry completely.

- Buff the wood surface with a soft cloth or a buffing pad to enhance the shine and smoothness of the wood wax oil.
